2. This website has no forms

We do not use contact forms, quote request forms, newsletter signups, booking calendars, or account registration on this website. We do not ask you to submit personal information in order to browse any page. The only interactive way to send us information from this site is the optional live chat widget described in Section 4, or by choosing to call or email us using the contact details we publish.

3. Information we collect

We may collect:

• Information you give us voluntarily. Your name, phone number, email address, service address, and details about the fence or gate work you want, when you call, text, email, or send us a chat message.
• Live chat information. Messages you type in the chat widget and any contact details you choose to provide there.
• Basic technical information. Standard server and hosting log data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed. This is used for security, hosting reliability, and understanding general site usage.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, we do not collect payment card details through this website, and we do not collect sensitive categories of personal information such as health, biometric, or financial account data through this site.

4. Live chat widget (LeadConnector)

This site uses a hosted live chat widget provided by LeadConnector, the messaging platform used by HighLevel, Inc. (“LeadConnector”). The widget loads a script from widgets.leadconnectorhq.com so the chat bubble can appear and connect you to us.

What the chat widget may collect:

• The content of messages you type, and the date and time they were sent.
• Contact information you voluntarily type into the chat, such as your name, mobile phone number, email address, and the address where the work would be done.
• Technical and session data used to deliver the chat, such as IP address, browser and device information, the page you were on when you opened chat, and a widget identifier.
• Cookies or local browser storage set by the widget so an in-progress conversation can persist between page views and visits.

How that information is used: solely so we can read your message, answer your questions, quote your project, and follow up about the work you asked about. Conversations are stored in our LeadConnector/HighLevel account, where LeadConnector acts as our service provider and processes the data on our behalf under its own terms and privacy policy. The chat widget is optional. If you do not want to send information this way, do not open the chat — call or email us instead, or simply keep browsing the site.

If you provide a mobile number in chat and we reply by text, see Section 5 for how messaging consent works.

5. SMS and messaging consent

• We send text messages only to people who have contacted us and given consent — for example, by texting us first, by asking us in a phone call or email to text you, or by providing your mobile number in the chat widget and asking for a text reply.
• Messages we send are customer-care and service messages about your project: scheduling an estimate, quote details, crew arrival times, job updates, and invoicing questions.
• Message frequency varies based on your project. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for messages.

• We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared only with subcontracted service providers, such as our messaging platform, strictly to help us deliver the messages you asked for.
• Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase or service.

6. How we use information

• To respond to your call, text, email, or chat message.
• To measure, quote, schedule, perform, and warranty fencing and gate work.
• To send invoices and answer billing questions.
• To keep records required for tax, permitting, insurance, and warranty purposes.
• To maintain the security and reliability of this website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

We do not buy, sell, rent, trade, or resell leads or contact lists, and we do not participate in affiliate lead programs. Every contact we message reached out to us directly and gave express written consent.

Bates Contracting LLC operates under the name Bates Contracting (DBA). Both names refer to the same business.

7. When we share information

We share personal information only in these limited cases:

• Service providers that operate tools on our behalf, such as our website host, our phone and messaging providers, and LeadConnector/HighLevel for chat and messaging. They may use the data only to provide those services to us.
• Subcontractors working on your project, limited to what they need (for example, a service address and scope of work).
• Legal requirements when we must comply with law, a subpoena, or a lawful request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

8. Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The live chat widget may set cookies or local storage entries as described in Section 4. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking them may prevent the chat widget from working.

9. Data retention and security

We keep project and communication records only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax, and warranty obligations, then delete or archive them. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Your choices

• Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy.
• Ask us to correct or delete your information.
• Opt out of text messages by replying STOP.
• Ask us to stop contacting you entirely.
